FAQ

What is Confrontation Unlimited?

Confronation Unlimited aims to be a freeware RTS game featuring multiplayer online gaming in a three dimensional world. It is currently in public beta phase, meaning you can play it but there might be some rewinds/world resets when bugs occur. We do our best to minimize such issues though.

What can I do now?

If you are new to Confrontation Unlimited, you might want to take a look at the screenshots. You can also visit the forums to share your opinions with the community. Or you can just Start Playing! :)

The Setting

Confrontation Unlimited is placed in modified middleages. You can build towers, castles, soldiers as well as units based on magic or fictitious technologies. The world of CU is devided into several islands. Battles take place on those between you and your friends or computer controlled enemies.

Is Confrontation Unlimited a completly new game?

Actually, this is already the 4th incarnation of Confrontation Unlimited. The previous ones were abondened after a few rounds because of some imbalanced rules in gameplay and technical limits of the hardware at that time. :) The first version was completly webbased and after a review of the rules, I decided that a dedicated client would scale better anyway, so the 2nd version was created. You can see some screenshots of the older versions in the Media section. Afterwards, I concentrated on the development of Walkover, another freeware game I started a few months later. Together with a few friends, we formed Millenium Project Enterprises and continued the work on that project since 2003.
I never forgot about CU. I have always been sure, that some day I'll create a new version. So here we go! Basically, it is like the older versions, but the rules and the visual look will change.
