This section describes the control of the 3D View of a region. There are 3 input modes that can be used to control the scene:

Main Mode

wasd lets you move around the camera

holding down the mouse wheel and dragging the scene also moves your camera around

turning the mouse wheel zooms in and out at the position where you are pointing at with the mouse pointer

qy/z lets you move the camera up and down

holding shift + holding the mouse wheel lets you rotate the camera

h moves your camera back to your main hall, or another of your units if one exists and there is no main hall.

g toggles the display of the frame rate

tab toggles between Main Mode and Direct Mode

space while one of your own units is selected switches into FPS control Mode

Direct Mode

This is an experimental control mode. It's more "into the game" - but right now doesn't allow to control everything the Main Mode allows to control. So you'ld have to switch back for some things to do. The basic idea is to move the camera like in an FPS game.

wasd strafe around the camera

move mouse rotates the camera

mouse wheel zoomes as well

FPS Mode

wasd move around the unit

move the mouse to look around and aim

left mouse button attacks

right mouse button jumps

mouse wheel allows to zoom out and look from behind the unit. This allows for a 3rd person view.

hit space again to change back to your previous control mode
